Easy Hidden/Altered Paper Clips for Your Junk Journal

hidden paper clip ideas to decorate journal page-1

A very easy way of creating hidden or altered paper clips with rubber stamps and paper scraps to decorate your junk or art journal. If you want a great way to use some of your rubber stamps, especially the ones you don’t use on a regular basis but still really love, I highly suggest that you make some altered paper clips. All you need is some scrap paper, glue, paper clips and of course your rubber stamps. You can make big ones of small ones and it really is fun for hours. I made a video here about how I made the ones in this post.

The best part is that you can use any size of shape of rubber or acrylic stamp.
You could also collage with the stamped images as well.

All you need to do is tape the paper clip to a backing piece of card stock and glue that onto your stamped piece of scrap paper. It really is super easy and a great way to use up some of your smaller bits of paper. Here I added some washi tape too. Don’t forget to give the back a little bit of decoration as well :)

Add some tabs at the side or also some bits of fabric scraps at the top of the paper clip.

Great decoration on a page or use instead of a pocket as these hold an index card.

Feel free to add some hardware like an eyelet for extra pizzazz LOL!

I really like adding some sort of tab to the sides of mine so they peak out when my journal is closed.

Here I added the number of my PO Box on the side for fun to this mail slot rubber stamp.

I stamped May on the back to remind myself I made these and my tutorial video here in May 2023.
I hope you will give this a try because it is a lot of fun and a great way to reacquaint yourself with your rubber and acrylic stamp collection.
Happy Journaling! Hugs, Lisa :)
