Creepy Halloween Face in a Jar
Make Your Halloween Decor a Bit More Spooky with a Face in a Jar
Hiya Witches!
Today I have a very quick and easy idea for you to try to add to your Halloween decorations. I found this mask at a thrift store for $1.00 and it's perfect!
I cut off the elastic on the back and then tried to find a suitable jar.
I added some green food colouring into the water to help make it a bit more creepy.
Pro tip: if you use tap water eventually it will get slimy and gross which is an added bonus in my opinion. However, if you don’t want that look (and smell!) add a tiny bit of rubbing alcohol or vodka to the water to keep it from getting funky.
I gave it a try with this taller jar but when I put it on the mantle this jar was too big, too tall and the mask didn't "squish" the face very well.
But this jar worked great!
I really squished it in there and I did have to cut down the top of the mask so it would fit better.
A bit of rope and a charm really finishes it off nicely. Back lighting behind the jar really helps create a spooky mood too. Lighting changes everything.
Very spoooooooooky! Happy decorating and enjoy! Lisa xo
